Metal Funk Melon™ (MFM™) is an active rock band from Rossville, Georgia (just south of Chattanooga, Tennessee ) Band members include,    

Founding member 

Drummer: Frankie  keeper of the beats.

Lead Guitarist: Coy

shred master and keeper of the strings.

Bassist / Lead Vocalist: Gene

thumper and melodic voice of MFM™

MFM formed in early 2005 when Frankie's former band of nine years ( Moe Savvy ) broke up. Frankie and Gene had known about one another's musical talents for many years, but it was when Coy was encouraged by a friend to stand up and play the guitar one night that there was no doubt in their minds that they would like to combine their individual talents and form Metal Funk Melon.

Between the three members there is a wide variety of musical influences, which brings a very interesting sound to MFM. The band spends three nights a week writing and practicing.

Metal Funk Melon has played with other local bands and been guest on local radio shows, with great response from listeners. The band looks forward to playing shows around the region, nation, and possibly the world.
